Rattles are used in many Hopi social and religious ceremonies in Hopi culture. This rattle’s design depicts a blue/turquoise representing the Earth with four migration lines referring to the Hopi clans journeys. Red lines radiate from the sun. On the edge of the rattle a symbol for the Milky Way is depicted. A turkey feather is attached to the top and a cotton hand loop is on the end of the handle. This rattle is hand made by Dawavendewa.
