Jack Rabbit with rain cloud symbols stands upon a crescent moon that rises above the earth as rain clouds gather across the land that holds symbols of earth, rain clouds and migration spirals. Above the rain clouds, stars herald the night sky. For the Hopi people Muuyaw the Moon is watched over by Sowi the Jack Rabbit. The darken areas upon the moon’s surface symbolize the Rabbit. Muuyaw is seen as a vessel filled with water, a symbol of prayers for moisture to the earth.
