Recently we were honored to donate a mural to the CRIT (Colorado River Indian Tribe) Nation located near Parker Arizona and the Colorado river. The mural went to the Food Distribution Program. This program is dedicated to assisting tribal members who may need additional help in providing nutritious foods (even yummy bison meat). The program has created its own store within its department and that is where the mural is located to remind people that Native Nations have a long history of not only taking care of each other but also of the land around them. The mural measure 3 by 8 feet long and shows elements of the land as well as designs found in four tribes that make up the CRIT Nation (Mohave, Chemehuevi, Navajo and Hopi). The mural is entitled "Blessings of the River" and is acrylic on canvas.
